Continuing an unbroken nine-generation master-apprentice tradition of bladesmithing in the Fergana Valley
Original Methodology
Abdullokh Mukumjonov employs proprietary forging techniques inherited across nine generations — methods distinct from modern industrial production and preserved through direct master-apprentice transmission.
Each blade begins at the anvil using hammer rhythms and tempering methods passed through nine generations of the Mukumjonov family. These techniques — developed over two centuries in the Fergana Valley — produce blades with distinctive grain patterns and edge retention unmatched by modern methods.
Damascus steel, high-carbon steel, natural horn, bone, and rare regional hardwoods — only the finest materials enter the workshop. Each material is selected for its structural properties and aesthetic contribution to the finished blade.
Every blade undergoes rigorous inspection by the master himself. From edge geometry to handle fit, from balance to blade flex — each detail meets the exacting standards established across nine generations of the craft.
